Autumn in New England October 14 - 21, 2010 $1289 Double / $1269 Triple 10 meals We've done it again! Two spectacular vacations rolled into one! You've heard about the unforgettably brilliant autumn colors of the northeast and seen pictures of the ocean crashing into Maine's rocky coastline. Experience both as Star Tours whisks you away for an eight-day adventure. Day 1 – We begin our journey through Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley and the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania on our way to overnight in New Jersey. Already we have 'oohed' and 'aahed' at the colors painting the landscape. Day 2 – Through New York and lower New England we travel, stopping in as many scenic areas as time permits. This evening we have a great lobster dinner together. Day 3 - This begins two days of the 'Brindle Ramble' along Maine's rocky coastline, taking in the Nubble and Portland Head lighthouses, and the lovely towns of Kennebunkport and Boothbay Harbor. We will treat ourselves to a New England lobster dinner this evening. Day 4 – Our Ramble continues where the mountains meet the sea in midcoast Maine with a stop in tiny Pemaquid Point. The view from Mt Battle in Camden Hills State Park is an awesome sight. We will explore more of the rugged coastline with its quaint fishing villages, but we don't want to miss sunset from the highest point on the Atlantic Coast, Cadillac Mountain in Bar Harbor, before retiring. Day 5 – Into the White Mountains of New Hampshire we go, gawking all the way at Mother Nature's palette of fall colors. We will stop in Littleton, New Hampshire to visit the world’s largest candy counter, Chutter’s. This afternoon we cross into Vermont for a two-night stay in the Green Mountains. Day 6 – There is so much to experience in this bucolic land and we want to see it all. From learning about the process of making Vermont's famous maple syrup to the treats of Cabot Creamery, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and the Cold Hollow Cider Mill to the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, its all nestled in a landscape of breath-taking autumn hues. Day 7 – We begin our return to the south but not before traveling through historic Vermont villages such as Rutland and Bennington. Along the way we’ll pass by the Bennington Monument, Old First Church and picturesque Vermont covered bridges. Day 8 – We continue south today sharing the experiences of our adventure and continuing to enjoy the beauty of the autumn leaves as we pass by. $100 Deposit - Balance Due 30 Days Prior
